Starbucks $1 Cup of Joe

Would a $1 brew from Starbucks get you in the door?

The 8-ounce short size isn't on Starbucks' menu but has long been ordered by in-the-know patrons including myself. Typically, a short brewed coffee would sell for about $1.50. Starbucks is testing the offer of free refills for traditional brewed coffee along with the $1 cup of coffee in the Seattle area at this time.

"The Seattle coffee giant is responding to increased competition as it braces for an economic slowdown that could blunt consumer spending."

I have always been a fan of Starbucks medium roast and rarely order a specialty drink anyway, so this cut in price would definitely pull me away from the coffee shop that currently frequent for a cup of Joe……..Your thoughts welcome.
